Pamekasan, Institut Agama Islam (IAI) Al-Khairat Pamekasan will host the 2nd International Conference on Islamic Thought (ICIT) 2026, an international academic forum that brings together scholars, researchers, and practitioners to discuss contemporary issues in Islamic thought and financial literacy.
The conference carries the theme “Islamic Financial Literacy for Sustainable Development.” This event aims to strengthen global academic collaboration while encouraging discussions on the role of Islamic values and financial education in achieving sustainable development.
The conference will be held online via Zoom on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, and will involve participants from various countries.
The opening session will feature Dr. Ali Ridho, M.S.I., Rector of IAI Al-Khairat Pamekasan, alongside Roeland Monasch, CEO of Aflatoun International from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, who will deliver the welcome speeches. The session will be moderated by Ya-Ling Chao, Aflatoun Regional Coordinator for Asia.

This international conference will cover several academic fields, including Education and Teacher Training, Islamic Economics and Business, Ushuluddin and Philosophy, as well as Sharia and Islamic Thought.
In addition to academic discussions, the conference provides opportunities for scholars to publish their research. Accepted papers will have the possibility to be published in several reputable journals such as Fikrotuna (Sinta 3), JKPI (Sinta 3), MJIFM (Sinta 4), JURISY: Jurnal Ilmiah Syariah (Sinta 4), JSPAI, INVESTI, and the International Journal of Multifinance.
Registration for participants is free of charge, while presenters are required to pay a conference fee of IDR 100,000. All participants will receive an e-certificate after attending the conference.
The registration and call for papers are open from January 24 to April 30, 2026, while the abstract submission deadline is March 31, 2026.
Through this international conference, IAI Al-Khairat Pamekasan hopes to strengthen academic networks and contribute to the development of Islamic scholarship, particularly in the field of Islamic financial literacy for sustainable development.
